Do you guys know that we all are gifted with the blank canvas of life that is waiting to be painted? And now who’s the painter? Yes! We are the painters. Because the thoughts and beliefs we put into our minds can either create our destiny or destroy our destiny.
So why not feed the mind with better thoughts to derive better results? But before that, we need to understand the basics of the mind. So let’s get started…
The Power Of Our Magical Mind
No matter what phase of life we are in. First of all, we need to figure out what’s already there in our minds. The thoughts, the beliefs, the thinking patterns and all such things demand our full attention. We need to see whether those beliefs are backed by logic or not.
To find this out, we need to question our thoughts and answer them honestly without any biases. We will then find out that most of the thoughts residing in our minds are without a head or legs.
Mind being the greatest asset for every human holds the capacity to shape our personality and future. But unfortunately, it is the most underrated asset from a human perspective.
Deconstructing The Old Patterns
We are holding our minds on so-called pillars. Now what are these pillars? These pillars are the foundation on which our mind generates ideas. And most of these pillars are not even instilled by us, but by society. We need to unlearn things we grew up learning.
Because these are the only barriers we have in our journey of success. One thing that we will hear every successful person saying is MINDSET IS EVERYTHING. Because they know about the surprising impact of mindset on growth. So to fix life, we need to fix our minds.
Society has a job of making us realize our incapabilities. And now we must transform those incapabilities into capabilities and leave the world’s eyes wide open.
Unlocking Inner Potential
Undoubtedly, each one of us is blessed with infinite potential. We just need to have the right mindset to utilize that potential. Now we’ll understand this with the help of a beautiful example that I recently read in the book called ‘Mindset‘.
So there was a teacher who divided his students into 2 groups and then gave a task to them. Once the students were done with the task, the teacher checked the task and to one of the groups he praised and said ‘ That’s good! You guys are smart ‘ and to the other group, the teacher said ‘Wow! You guys are hardworking ‘. Then that teacher asked both groups what sort of task they wanna get next. The group who was praised for smartness preferred easy tasks and the group who was praised as hardworking preferred difficult tasks.
Now the difference is pretty clear. Smartness leads to a fixed trait. Because here we start to think that we can’t do better than our previous tasks. And when we think of ourselves as hardworking, that means we’re ready to push and challenge our boundaries.
When we think we are smart and then we fail, it becomes really difficult to cope with that situation. When we know that it was hard work-driven failure so can come out of that setback because then we start to think that with more hard work, better results can be achieved.
The fear in the mind confines us from exploring the uncharted. We miss out on lots of opportunities when our decisions are backed by fear. Our infinite potential stays locked up when we don’t do things just because of fear.
Why should we limit ourselves just because we saw a few failures? After all, we only get one. So why not make that one worth it?
Potential Of Belief
Whatever we believe has a direct impact on our work and body. We will start responding following what we already feel about that thing.
For eg. We people often feel that we’re not good at studies, dancing, singing, etc. But we never realize that it’s just a thought that’s residing in our minds. What if we put that thought out of our minds? We will see that we’re no longer the same person. We’re what we see ourselves in the mind.
For eg. We lose the game later in reality but before that, we lose it in the mind. So let’s make sure to make ourselves the winner in our minds. And to get connected with positivity, let’s choose our company wisely.
There is research that claims that you are the average of 5 people you spend your most time with. Now you’ll say ‘ What if those people are out of our reach? ‘. Well, that reason would be invalid in today’s digital world.
Because we can stay connected with positivity as well as negativity, depending upon our choice. We can stay connected with good books that embark us with a ray of positivity and hope.
Now if you’re not a book person, then also there is no issue. Don’t you use any social media platforms? I know you do! Start consuming the sort of material you want to become.
Changed Mind = Changed Life
First of all, we need to be very aware of what’s going on in our minds. Because our mind is always active even when we’re at rest. So we need to engage our minds in better activities when it’s at work.
Giving the right directions to our thoughts is necessary to lead our minds in the right direction. We often get tensed with the intensity of the thoughts our brain is producing, without realizing that it’s just a point of view.
For eg. We’re feeling the sensation of anger and we’re fighting with that anger. As we’re taught one shouldn’t get angry. But in reality, anger will be there, we cannot control that. But yes we have control over the way we react.
Let’s start feeling fine with our imperfections. The moment we start doing so, the mind gets peaceful. Transforming the mind that is filled with trash to the mind that is full of possibilities is the only transition we need in our lives.
Happiness is a choice that solely depends upon the quality of our thoughts. We often feel that to be happy we need to have a perfect life.
But in reality, life can never be perfect, it can only be fulfilling. And if want a fulfilled life, we need to make a fulfilled mind first. So let’s drive our thoughts and don’t let them drive us.
Mastering The Mind
We have control over our bodies. Like, we can decide where to walk, where to stop, etc. But when it comes to mind, we don’t have any such control over our minds. We’re always loaded with thoughts.
And having thoughts is not bad but we often think about our incapabilities. That’s the only problem! Because the more we think about our incapabilities, the more permanent it will become. Now we need to have a better taste when it comes to entertaining thoughts.
For eg. We often associate ageing with deterioration. Now we know that ageing is certain. So what if we associate it with growth, wisdom, new learnings, etc? We don’t need to have extraordinarily intelligent minds. Just a mind that can be utilized extraordinarily is all we need.
What goes in our minds all day are the problems, rarely blessings. Our future depends upon the choices we make today. Now who doesn’t want to make good choices to have a better future?
But to make better choices or decisions we need to get our minds on track. Again, not everyone is willing to do that. All precious things come by choice. Living a happy life happens by choice.
